2014
​​This event initiated JUFI’s mission in the Dominican Republic. We distributed over 500 notebooks, 5,000 pencils, 600 pens, 200 sharpeners, 5,000 erasers, 100 t-shirts, 300 boxes of chalk, and 200 backpacks.
2016
In 2016 we are looking to distribute 500 – 700 fully loaded backpacks in two municipalities in the rural Dominican Republic. In addition, we hope to raise funds to aid two orphanages in the city of Santo Domingo with academic materials and recreation sports equipment.
2017
This year we are looking to substantially expand our presence in the Dominican Republic by hosting events in 3 rural cities. The goal is to provide academic aid to an estimated 900 - 1000 children. In addition, we hope to raise funds to aid two orphanages in the city of Santo Domingo with academic materials and recreation sports equipment.
2019
2018 was great, but 2019 will be outstanding. This year our goal is to strengthen our relationship with the students of the provinces of Nizao, Miches, San Francisco de Macoris, and the neighborhood of Los Mameyes in Santo Domingo through our JUFI Academics program. We also plan to launch JUFI Sports. JUFI Sports’ mission is to establish and help run recreational sports programs in severely underfunded communities. Our first project will be in the province of Barahona where we will be building a youth baseball and multi-sports program.
2018
This year our goal is to multiply our impact by adding the province of Barahona to our coverage. Barahona is located in the southern part of the country near the Haitian border. It is one of the most economically challenged provinces in the country. In addition, we will continue our relationship and support of the children of the provinces of Miches, Nizao, and the city of Santo Domingo.
